Joomla 2.5 removes \ character from any article body.

Post by fisherr_anx_com » Thu Feb 12, 2015 2:08 pm

When publishing articles, Joomla seems to be stripping the "\" from my content, causing "C:\Program Files\New Folder" to become "C:Program FilesNew Folder"

I cannot seem to find any reason for this to occur. When I look at the HTML code for the article (in the editor), the character is missing.

When I view the article in the Joomla front end, and look at the HTML code, the character is gone.

Joomla! 2.5.27
Magic Quotes is off.
Text Filters are set to "NO FILTERING"

Any suggestions or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

Sorry but that advice from jcms has absolutely no relevance to the question asked

Do you have any "security" extensions installed. Some of them especially rsfirewall do silly things

No, I do not have any Security Extensions. It is an internal website, used for knowledge management.

In looking into it, I saw references to creating a .htaccess file in the joomla file. It did not seem to resolve immediately, on previously created articles.
