You have to filter the Module Manager for "Administrator", not "Site"

Nope...
Click on the Top link "Multilanguage status" in admin, once the module is published (see my picture: link on top).
It will display a modal. It is that modal that you should capture. It will tell you what is wrong in your settings.

Yep, and it indeed shows you what is wrong: No Default Home pages for the Content Languages.
Study again, step by step, the tutorial and visit the back-end of the tutorial site to see how it is done.

Morning!

Went through PDF provided by you and now have language switch menu alomost poperly configured! Ty for your uberdetailed description!

1 thing is missing - dont see flags for RUS and LAT languages (ENG is ok), so in flag view there is language names. I hope i will find where I defined it wrong.

In the Content Languages, edit the Russian and Latvian ones, enter "ru" for Russian and "lv" for Latvian in the Image prefix field.

Ty for your tip! I had there "LV" and "RU" in UPPER CASE, flags appeared after changing them to "lv" and "ru".

Thanks a lot for your assistance! Have a nice weekend! ;)
