Is there any possibility, that when I'm on a certain article on my joomla-page, I can switch the language, but STAY on that article, instead of always going back to the default home-page?

You can't stay on the article, except if there is a direct menu item pointing to that article. itself associated to the equivalent menu item in another language that would link to a copy of that article in the structure of the language chosen.

I have a language menu in Dutch, English, French & German.
Every menuitem goes to a certain article.
Those menuitems are translated to the 4 languages.
Each article is also transltad in the 4 languages.

mainmenu (UK) -> linkA -> ArticleA
manimenu (FR) -> linkA -> ArticleA
manimenu (DE) -> linkA -> ArticleA
manimenu (NL) -> linkA -> ArticleA

In this case, enable Menu Items Associations between linkA, LinkB, etc.

See tutorial.

I created for each language a diffrent module. That is what I leared from a tutorial.
So I switch between menu-modules to have a diffrent language.

If I follow you tutorial from your signature, you make 1 big menu, with all the languages specified in it.

So am I correct, that I need to do this to switch between the languages, and staying in on the same articale/page ?

If I recall correctly, you use the Main menu, select Language to All, go to that menu's module and Unpublish it.

You then create a menu for each language, with the relevant menu items and languages

The tutorial is very good, however, there is a lot in it, so it's easy to overlook something.

See also the official tutorial site where you can access back-end to see how it is done.

(BTW, this precise link menu item is using Menu Items associations)
