Multilang Status says "Not Installed" although its installed

Post by Garradin » Mon Jan 21, 2013 10:59 am

Hi,

I created a multilanguage site and launched. Two other languages works perfectly fine but French (fr-FR) is giving me a hard time.

Multilanguage Status Module says the language is not installed and/or published although the language pack installed.

I also tried to install a few older versions of the language pack and turned off SEF urls but no luck so far.

Make sure the pack is published in Extensions Manager ->Manage=> filter by languages

I tried 3 different versions from this page, non of them worked.

I installed them without uninstalling the current pack, it did'nt work, then I uninstalled the pack and installed a different version, did'nt work again.

Hi infograf768,

I received your email. I am aware of the update problem, it's about the server configuration and I left it for later because it is not urgent for me, I need to publish tranlations as soon as possible.

I found the main problem about "language not installed" issue. I don't know how it happened but in the database file there were white spaces before language code like this (" fr-FR"). When I erased the spaces problem solved, now Language switcher shows French option.

Thank you very much for your effort to help me...
