Re: Main Menu Multilanguage joomla 2.5
Update to 2.5.1
1. You do not need more than one menu item (set to home) in the main menu set to all
2. If you use menu items to contacts, make sure your contacts are set OK
Make a screenshot of the multilanguage status module and attach here.

Re: Main Menu Multilanguage joomla 2.5
Your jf_texturia template is at fault.
It does not contain a position-7 and adds without your consent a specific code with a link to the Default Main Menu set to ALL
I have changed the position of mainUK and mainIT to "submenu" and they do now display OK.
You still have to edit your template to get rid of the extraneous code loading the default Home.
Just delete in the template index.php the line
<?php mosShowListMenu($menuname); ?>
This should do it
Note: I suggest you let this known to the template developper

Re: Main Menu Multilanguage joomla 2.5
Dear sir,
i have the similar problem with it.
I have 2 languages(English+Chinese) on my Joomla 2.5.2.
Everything is good, and i can switch languages.
The only question is that it can only show Main menu in one one language at the same time.
Only when i set the menu type of one language to:mainmenu then it works and showing the drowdown, the other language has no drowdown menu.
I tried to change menu type to mainmenu-EN, mainmenu-GB, mainmenu-CN, mainmenu-ZH
but they are not working and not showing items in mainmenu.
Example:
I set the menu 'Mainmenu-CN'(menu type:mainmenu), now in Chinese website it showing drow-down menu, but English website not showing.
I set the menu 'Mainmenu-EN'(menu type:mainmenu), now in English website it showing drow-down menu, but Chinese website not showing.
I can not set both of menu to (menu type:mainmenu) at the same time.
I will give you my access, thank you very much.

Re: Main Menu Multilanguage joomla 2.5
Some templates (yours is one of them), require absolutely to duplicate template styles, assign each style to a Content Language, and set the correct mainmenu for it.
I did this on your site and it now works.
Please next time, ask my permission to send a mail/pm.

Dear Sir,
I have followed the tutorial guide and but still have a problem. Default language for our website is still in English while we already configure Chinese to be default.
Can you please assist us in this as we already so lost now? Is it possible if I pm you the access info for our website?
Really really appreciate it!

Re: Main Menu Multilanguage joomla 2.5
Which tutorial did you follow?
Your site is not set at all as a multilang site, except that you published the languagefilter plugin.
I unpublished it for now.
Here is a tutorial if you want to create a multilanguage site:
http://multilingual.demojoomla.com/mult ... steps.html
You will have to get the Chinese language files for the extensions you are using and make sure also that the English lang files are OK
解析错误在语言文件中
* JROOT/language/en-GB/en-GB.mod_socialmedialinks.ini :错误在行 7 里
* JROOT/language/en-GB/en-GB.mod_k2_jcarousel.ini :错误在行 74, 75, 76, 77 里
* JROOT/language /en-GB/en-GB.mod_k2_camera_slideshow.ini :错误在行 74, 75, 160, 161, 162, 163, 164, 165, 166, 167, 168, 169, 170, 171, 172, 173, 174, 175, 176, 177, 178, 179, 180, 181, 182, 183, 184, 185, 186, 187 里
Also you have installed a demo K2 content which is all in English and it seems that the K2 en-GB ini files are loaded after the Chinese ones, therefore overwriting them.
===>I suggest also to go to
administrator/index.php?option=com_installer&view=update
and update Gantry, K2 and whatever else needs to be updated

Re: Main Menu Multilanguage joomla 2.5
Hi,
New to this Forum and way short of being an expert in Joomla or websites in general however I have built my own site in Joomla 2.5 and have taken the site multilingual using the JA Lang extension.
I have followed the tutorials and installed 4 new languages and created separate templates for each one, 3 languages work fine and have there own mega menus as well as a default menu and a menu for my site language of English.
The problem is that the fifth language will not show even though it has a menu, a template, articles (associated) and categories (associated).
I can install new languages no problem so I assume I have made a mistake somewhere in the Polish installation and don't know how to fix it.
All help gratefully received as it's driving me bananas and I keep just going around in circles.

Hello
First use the multilangstatus module to check all

This is not the RESULTING display of the multilanguage status.
Once published, you have to click on it to diplay the results in a pop-up

If you move a page to a different category, how do you use sh404sef to change the URL?
