Hi,

I hope I don't break the rules now, but I have also dropped this question in the Swedish Forum. Posted in "Forumindex » Joomla! International Language Support » International Zone » Swedish Forum » Översättning" and the thread "Home och multi-language site".

However, I am trying to create a "multi language site" and have a problem related to the "Home menu item" and where (?) the "ouput" for a specific article (which I have published a link to) appears. Seems as it will be displayed on a page that I don't have defined anywhere ...

I am running on Joomla 2.5.1 and using the template CloudBase2.0 from Cloudaccess. My site will be available in Swedish and "UK" English.

I have created three different menus; One Swedish, one English and one "dummy" for ALL.

I have three different instances of the template CloudBase2.0 - one default and one for each of the specific languages (EN, SV). The reason for that is that I am using the built in function to have the menu displayed by the template so those language specific versions of the template has different menus specified.

As I am from Europe, there is a law that require all websites to inform all visitors that cookies are used, and why. We also need to have a commitment from the visitor that he or she accept the use of cookies.

So, I have put a (different, or language specific) link in a module for all pages.

When i "Click" on the link, the article I intend to show is displayed in the "current page", except for the "home page".

So my problem is:

When I "click" on the link when I am "on the page" HOME for current (selected) language and the article I have linked to in the module (type "Custom HTML), the article is showned on another page than the "Home page". The link itself is not visibel on the page, despite of the fact that it should be visible on all pages

Anyone that could give me a hint about what I am doing wrong ?

Tomas

It looks like you are using a Gantry framework template.
This type of template has quite a few issues in multilanguage.
The main one is that it does not really let one set a style to be fully the default for the language.

Would need to access the back-end of your site to find a solution.

I have set your custom html module to all pages and it now displays.
On the Home pages though, the Simple Image holder will not show.

This may be solved in 2.5.2 by this patch
http://joomlacode.org/gf/project/joomla ... m_id=28017

In this case the Cyklar module may have to be set to ALL pages except the non-home menu items.

Hi Giamps,

Unfortunately, If You ask me, I don't have a clue. Maybe You should open a new thread ?
