Hi all,
I'm new to joomla development.I need to create language translate just like in
http://joomlasecrets.tv/joomla-secrets/secret-video-335.i tried in joomla1.7 as it says.but it wont work.
I tried to do it to SINHALA Language.
Is there any file which supports for joomla1.7???
can anyone tell if anything wrong in my process???.
That will be grateful.

There are no language packs for Joomla! 1.7.x.

However, there are both Site and Admin language packs for Joomla! 1.5.x. You could download them from http://joomlacode.org/gf/project/jtranslation/frs/?action=FrsReleaseBrowse&frs_package_id=3494.

Be aware that you cannot use 1.5.x language packs with 1.7.x.

Note: If you do not mind, you could get in touch with Rashan Anushka who happen to be the Sinhala language coordinator for 1.5 version. He could be contacted at rashan.uoc(at)gmail.com

There is no development for 1.7 language pack for sinhala

wish Rashan can upload that as well.

I am working on Sinhala translation, my project approved form translation team. now almost 75% done, I will do my best to send it for next 2.5 Release.

1.7 will be obsolete in a few weeks.
better concentrate on 2.5 IMHO.

2.5 language freeze is not yet implemented, i.e. some strings from 2.5 beta 1 are changing, others added.
