Hi there,

I am very new to Joomla 2.5, however, quite good in Joomla 1.5 :-)
I installed English and German, switched the System language plug-in on, installed the Language Switcher module, assigned it to a position but other than the pre-text nothing is shown on that position. If I change it to show a dropdown menu (instead of flags), it shows me the dropdown, however, it is empty (so without any languages).

I guess I am missing something...

Thanks a lot
Christian

Mod. Note: Relocated the topic to the Language J2.5 forum.

Have you looked at the Language Status Module in the backend?

Have you install front-end/back-end and created content language for each language?
Do you have a Category for each language including All?
Do you have a Menu for each language?
Is there a default menu item for each language?

Do the Language Status Module show green on all items?

Some step in the setup is wrong or missing.

"Language Status Module"?
The only module to be switched on according to the instruction is "Language Switcher" and that is green.

Sorry, it's called Multilanguage status. It's a backend module. Set the Filter to "Administrator" in Module Manager.

Click on the Multilanguage Status icon in the Status Bar and in your response, post the image of the pop-up window.

I believe that the default menu item for each of the languages is missing.

Thanks, SOLVED!
I just did not assign a home page for one of the languages.

Cheers
Christian
