Joomla System - Language Code plugin missing!

Hi all,

For some very weird reason, the "System - Language Code" in the plugins of Joomla is missing. I really don't want to reinstall my Joomla 2.5 as I have done a lot of work on it. Is there a way to install it?

I think thats why my website has some things in english even though they should be in either French or German.

Any help would be most appreciated.

Languagecode plugin only changes stuff in the head of the rendered page.

*Changes the language code for the generated HTML document. Example of use: One has installed the fr-FR language pack and wants the Search Engines to recognize the page as aimed at French-speaking Canada. Add the tag 'fr-CA' to the corresponding field for 'fr-FR' to resolve this.**

Can't have any effect on your issues.

Also, what version of 2.5 you are using?

What is your site's URL so that others can see what is happening?

In addition, click on the multilingual status icon in Admin side and post the image of the pop-up window in your next response. The pop-up window would provide you with the the status of your multilingual site.

Thanks for the help guys.

The only reason I think that that is the problem is because on another site, which does have that plugin works well with Virtuemart (in terms of languages).

The website is offline, and i have to keep it that way. What would be ideal is maybe a Skype call. Here is my username: andreasweiz

If this plugin is missing in your install, it may mean that other core files are corrupted.

First check if the plugin is present by Extensions Manager=> Discover
If the result displays it then install it. (As I said it will NOT solve your issue)

If not, then you may want to override the core files with a full 2.5.6 pack. This will have no effect on your extensions and templates.

As Mig asked, publish the multilanguage status module in back-end and post here a screenshot of the resulting display of the module.
