Urgent need of help with multilingual site - Joomla 2.5
I am an absolute beginner to Joomla and I need some assistance from you.
The problem is that I read everything I found about creating a multilingual site (4 languages), installed k2 and the 4 language packs as per a manual I read, enabled everything related to languages - filter, switcher, etc.
I also created menus for each one and the flags appear in my CP but on the website itself only the EN flag is shown, no other languages, even though the options I applied are the same for each language. It is very confusing and I have so little time... BTW, the default language is EN.
Your help will be much appreciated!

To understand how various things that facilitate the Multilingual feature are configured, try the following:
Go to the Module Manager, filter by Administrator, enable the module Multilanguage Status. Once this is done, a link with the text Multilanguage Status will appear in the status bar. Click on the link Multilanguage Status. A pop-window with various settings that facilitate multiligual feature.
In most cases, the information in the pop-up window should be sufficient enough to troubleshoot.
Copy the screenshot of the status window and post it in your reply.
You could login and see how things are configured in the multilingual demo-cum-tutorial site at http://multilingual.demojoomla.com/.

Re: Urgent need of help with multilingual site - Joomla 2.5
Hello,
Thank you for your advice, I didn't do this.
I have enabled it now but it did not show me any pop-up windows, it just looks like this - see the attachment. The website still shows EN language option only (with a flag) and nothing about the other 3 languages I'm trying to create pages for.
Do I have to uninstall the K2 I installed because of another tutorial?

Hi, I know what you mean now after I read another tutorial (this time yours), I wish I found it earlier, that could've saved me so much time.. Anyway
I'm pretty sure everything that the error refers to is enabled and published.
Please find attached the screenshot and advise further if possible
Thank you in advance!

Re: Urgent need of help with multilingual site - Joomla 2.5
You mistaked when creating the language tags for the Content Languages:
en-EN, does not exist: it is en-GB (or, depending on the languages installed: en-US or en-AU)
gr-GR does not exists (if it is for Greek, it is el-GR)
sr-SR does not exists, if it is for Serbian Cyrillic, it is sr-RS
Once you have corrected the tags, ALL items which have assigned to the content languages will have to be re-assigned.

Re: Urgent need of help with multilingual site - Joomla 2.5
I did everything as per your advice but now each menu except from the Greek one has a flag when I click on the Menus option.
I re-assigned the menus, categories, templates to the particular language but again even on the template list the Greek flag does not appear, it only says " Greek".
I have this screen at the moment from the back and front ends, respectively.
One more question - do I have to assign every article, menu, category to the copied template that is associated with a particular language please?
Also, the menu assignment is not going well. When I try to assign a menu, I choose an option, save it and them it does not show up on "Associations"

Concerning the Greek flag, its prefix in 2.5 is "el"
