Hi i just found the post in the Warrior forum in a simular form. I noticed that since launching my website 3 months ago and spending 24 hours a day in development i have noticed the hard work has paid of. I have noticed that since the update last night i have managed to go from an Alexa ranking of 3,600,000 to 1,400,000 and a Google ranking of 0/10 to a Google ranking of 5/10. I am now a very happy man and can hopefully start to advertise on my website for guest bloggers as this should act as a area to boost there own website PR. Anyway i am just wondering how other people faired in the Google updates?

Nope, no luck here, stuck at 4 even though the number of backlinks and visitors have gone up in the past months.

An e-commerce site that we developed and market for a client just 3 months ago shot up from PR 0 to PR 5! The Alexa rank has also come down to just around 1mil from 18mil in 2 months and seeing around 3500 visitors per month now. :)

So I'm a happy man!

Sadly, my own website's PR didn't increase. Stuck on 3. The irony!

Great results for me too on this update. Google does this every three months now or so it seems. Got a 4 from a 3 on both my sites so I'm very happy.

Yes it could be down to having have made modification to the page at a later date i think. I have my home page ranking at 5, three inner pages ranking at 4 and two inner pages unranked . Plus i think it always boils down to where back links are being generated from, all my backlinks always seem to point from the home page rather than inner pages. Kind of wondering if it may help pinning and adding inner pages for backlinks for a change.

Hahaha its sad though because i am still not going anywhere in keyword's. I rank zero in keywords in Google and my site name ranks 8 in Google / 5 in Yahoo yet 1 in Baidu. Mainly because i am competing with the book Far Eastern Odyssey and mainly Google strange behavior. I will post the link, its a post on Warrior Forum today on a host ranking number one for a key word (just hope the link dont get deleted): http://www.warriorforum.com/adsense-ppc ... oogle.html. But it just goes to show at this moment in time that for what ever reason Google rank does not seem to matter that much and keywords which people have said, have no affect with the new Google updates, seem to have a massive affect on the Google ranking.

I guess people worry too much about their SERPs and what Google and Co. might think of them. Just do your thing; if your site is being appreciated by the audience Google, etc. will follow. Your site is just three month old, that's nothing. Give it time and let's talk again in two or three years, see how you rank then.

I think you are right , and I have examples of 'forgotten' website which i just left to sit there on google which are doing better and better after 1-2 years, but these days everybody want fast results, visitors and income . Just like 1,2,3. That's why they are paying lots of SEO guys money , because they keep promisse them to 'dominate google'.

It is silly but it's just the way it is.

Regarding the PR , this is another obbsesion that website owners have. I think nobody should care too much about that, it comes with time. It is more important to focus keeping the visitors on your website and make them buy than going from PR3 to PR4 .

I am wondering about the value of "PageRank" from 0-10
When doing a Google search, one arrives at the Google result pages.
At the top it says that there are "About x found"
It will then show the first 10 on the first page.
What I do not believe is the a PageRank of ,say, 4, will give you a better change to be found.
When I look for the PageRank of one of my sites, I do have a page that has a PageRank of 2.
Yet, when I look for the main keyword, I rank no 9 at the first page out of 240,000,000 pages found.
That is why I think that a properly chosen keyword will get you listed higher on "Search results" than PageRank of your page will.
Maybe I am wrong not to concentrate on getting a ranking higher than 2 but I am happy with being no 9 out o 240,000,000

Well kind of agree with you there i still may rank 5/10 in google and the Alexa ranks falls by the day. However, my keywords still do not show up anywhere in Google. Plus Google seems unprodectable on keywords, note my other posts on the subject. Nontheless, i think the Google ranks does give people that authority with advertising networks they need to start profiting from their site and i also think that give a couple of Google ranks down the line, Google may start getting better at keyword ranking.

I did make a post on the warrior forum about strange behavior in Google keywords. I had an article with my site title name in the keywords. I was in place 2 of Google, note the long site name. The site was ranked the same ish in Google and Alexa as me. However, the site only had an article named the same as my site. When i put the name into the warrior forum for a question in the subject i droped in to the place of that site, while that site rose to my Google position. Currently i am starting to see Google as the sick kid of wen searches. The site has had a lot of success and rankes highly good among people. However, the new Google updates are either going to increase Google populairty or make the company rethink their web stategy.

My opinion is that the "keyword" AND the "content" of a page is the success to be found on the first page of Google result pages.
If the "Pagerank" (0-10) does any good, it will be very miniscule if any.
As I said, just my opinion.
