Hi,
I've joomla 2.5.6 and some redirection rules have been configured in the .htaccess file. URL rewriting is on and so is SEF url. The site was working properly till a week ago when suddenly all the links using the .htaccess redirection stopped working. I then tried to replicate the steps in another website and all the links are working fine. What I find strange is that no changes were made in the original site and even then the links stopped working.
Since I didn't modify the website, is it possible for server admin to change the way .htaccess works? As per him, no configuration changes were made from his end but there might be an outside chance of some setting getting changed without his notice. We have been racking our brains and any help would be greatly appreciated.
