Smart Search Indexing Error

I enabled smart search in my Joomla 2.5 and I am trying to run the indexer but I get the following error.

• An Error Has Occurred

I did a quick Google search and this seems to be a bug in older 2.5 versions. Please make certain you've applied the latest 2.5 patch and see if the error remains.
