Articles and search engines questions?

Forgive me if this sounds dumb, but I'm a beginner with joomla. My site has a home page, about page, and games page (where I sell my games). When I search for my site on google, the about page comes up first. I want the home page to show up first with the other pages under it... how would I do this? Also, whenever I make an article for the blog posts category (which shows up on the home page), each blog post shows up on google as a separate page, which looks weird. When clicked, it goes to a page with only that blog post. How can I have these not show up?

Well , i can give one solution for this.. If you want that link Not to be shown up then make the sitelinks denotation in Google Webmasters tools Section!! Probably the Problem may get solved!!

To mark the most important url, you should rate the priority of those link higher than other. For example, I use 1.0 as the most important, the main menu. I used 0.8 for the next level of menu. And normal article I rate it 0.5
