Adding site description for SEO

I need to add my site description to my <Title> tag. Problem, I can't find the file to make the changes. My last site was made with Frontpage and I could just select my index file and do my edits. Can you point me to a training module or give me direction where to find...

Go into your Control Panel of Joomla! Then go to the menu Site > Global Configuration, scroll to the bottom, on the left hand side it will say Metadata Settings. I have put some example images for you.

You can set keywords and description tags on a page by page basis by going into your article and noting the meta data options on the right.
You can set a page title for each page in Menu Manager - look on the right side for each menu item.
