What is the best way to insert a video onto a joomla page (in an article)? Thanks
I'm not a Joomla expert so please provide a step by step type of answer so I can understand it. Lol. Thanks.

Use an extension.

I have an extension (Allvideos) but I can't download the video to my site through media manager in that it says media format not supported!

Have you tried this? This need no extension to post video in article. Just click in the video URL in YoutTube and click share button and then select embed code option and copy the iframe code and paste it in your article as html in the article html format.

If the visitor is going go watch the video live without downloading it entirely first, it must be hosted on a streeming server. It can not be hosted on your site. Use. Then allvideo can streem it.

Okay thanks. I did upload the videos to [youtube] then embedded them on my site that way but I was wondering if there was a way to embed them on my site without showing the [youtube] player. So that they would look maybe more professional?

You can use an extension that support uploading videos ->
http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions ... -a-gallery

Some extensions allow you to upload video directly to your website, so you don't need to upload videos via [youtube].
