Weird Sef rewrite problem

Post by vieke » Wed Mar 18, 2015 9:36 am

I have a Joomla 2.5 installation at

http://giftsandgadgets.be/html/

All seems to be working, but sometimes, my links lose 1 letter in SEF,

So sometimes this:

http://www.giftsandgadgets.be/html/nl/ideeen
becomes this in SEF:
http://www.giftsandgadgets.be/html/nl/deeen (it looses the i in the end).
This happens at random and i have no idea anymore why.

i tried adding a rule to com_redirect to fix this, but that does not work.
The above link is also just an example, it happens at random with random links.

Does anybody has any clue what could be going on ?
I'm nog using any other SEF plugins.
(i'm trying to post my htaccess file but i keep getting a 403 error when i do this ?)

Obvious question: Have you checked the alias to see if it contains the "i" or not?

If the alias doesn't contain the "i", then add it, and see if it remains there.

If the alias already contains the "i", then are you using sh404SEF or any other URL rewriting extension? The problem might be on that extension's end.
