Header Image head-scrather

Hi Winners,

I'm trying to replace the blue header image that has "We are volunteers" on it.

I'm working o a localhost (Uniform) so I've named my repacement .png image "personal2" and saved it over the orginal.

I made the image 1066px by 288px (the same as the template original) but it's come in considerably too big!!!

And it's got a blue background where my image has a transparent background.

Any thoughts on why it's too big and showing blue?

The image is 1066px by 288px, but the window where it's display are just 1030 x 200px, so what you see on the page is a cropped image.

Any thoughts on why they've done it this way?

Also, any thoughts on why the blue colour is showing through the transparent background?

No, maybe they are reusing the image, i don't really know.

I'm not sure what you mean, can you attach an image, or do you have a link to your page.

Hi, see the thin blue strip between the top menu and the new Finance Flash header image.

When the header image .png background is set to transparent that blue shows through.

Now I have made it white.

So should we change the new image we want there to that cropped size, 1030x200?

I found it on the joomla demo site, if you look for this in the file /templates/beez_20/css/personal.css

	color:#fff;
	min-height:200px;
	margin:0em 10px 0 10px !important;

}

Change the #0c1a3e value to the color you want. (White = #fff)

I want to put a couple of images in a couple of those front page articles too, so I guess I'll be hunting around to see how to do that.
