Keep menu static in place while scrolling down page

Hi,

I have read multiple topics regarding keeping the menu in place when scrolling down the page but i have been unable to get it work for me. I am using the beez5 template and have tried inserting the code

position:fixed;

into almost all of the template css files (e.g. beez5.css, general.css, position.css) but i have failed miserably.

does anybody know which file and which line the code needs to be inserted in please?
