change company name, logo and slogan in joomla template

Post by omarelgazzar » Sat Mar 31, 2012 12:09 pm

I'm using the default template of Joomla 1.5. I want to change the company name from "Joomla" to "myCompanyName" and to change the logo and the slogan of the company website

Code: Select all

www.agbetech.com
How can I do that in the template manager?

Thanks in advance.

Go to the Template Manager, select the style Beez2 - Default and click on the icon titled Edit.

You would find the options/parameters to make changes you want.

What you are referring to is known as favicon (aka Favorite Icon).

Review of the document http://docs.joomla.org/Changing_the_site_favicon would be of help.

Generally, in these situations you could use the tool FireBug to inspect elements and view the css entries.

The tool FireBug that is available in browsers such as FireFox and Chrome could be used for this purpose. With FireBug you can inspect an element in a web page and find out its css entries and in which file the entries are located. You could even change the css entries to see how it affects the look and feel of your site. Once you are satisfied you could incorporate the changes in the actual file.

Review the document http://docs.joomla.org/Tutorial:Using_F ... la_Website for more information about how to use FireBug.
