New to Joomla!

I am trying to learn Joomla and have been messing around with a template from Yoo Theme.

http://www.yootheme.com/demo/themes/joo ... le=default

Just want to know where in the setting do they configure so that a specific menu item "Home" sub menus are in 2 columns instead of just one.

I would like to do that with other menu items.

As mentioned above its under menu options. You have the option to select 1,2,3 or 4 columns which is useful.

I have a question about these yoothemes someone might be able to help with.
Under menu options you can remove any menu button you like apart from the end right button. In the OPs example its the 'login module position' button. Anyone know why this can't be deleted or if there is a work around to remove it

may be its in other menu items.... for exaple...
login to admin panel>>go to menu manager>>there will be many menus
1. mainmenu
2. example pages
3. user menu
1 menu name has * with it which is main menu and other are used for showing other data... that login module might have a menu module used for showing that login...
Check that :)

Again, reviewing the YOOtheme documentation will help you. The issues posted here are all related to YOOtheme templates and how to set them up. For the Login menu item you must remove the module which is assigned to the "menu" position. Review this page:

http://www.yootheme.com/themes/document ... la-modules

Scroll down to "Publish a module in the menu".

Other YOOtheme template documentation can be found here:
