Hey there! I am working on a project using Joomla 2.5 as its platform. I found a theme that I liked and I am currently using entitled Shaper Simplicity II. I've had great success with it up to this point and now I can't seem to get what I need done.
I have contacted the designer of the theme but since it is not one of the Premium Themes the support for it is low priority.
Basically, what I am trying to do is add two buttons on to the theme. Sound simple, right? Well my problem is I cannot for the life of me find where I need to correctly edit the code to implement these two buttons.
This is what I would like for it to look like:

Between the Menu and the 3 Columns at the bottom I made it one giant imagine that I thought I could edit the links to but it didn't work the way I needed it to.
So, then I tried to use the editor in Joomla 2.5 called JCE to edit it. I basically separated the buttons and text into separate images that I could just paste and then go in and change where the images point to. The problem was I couldn't align everything properly and it ended up looking like this:
