I'm having some obvious difficulty upgrading Jaw025, a Joomla 1.5 native template to Joomla 2.5. I've thoroughly read the two following topics which have been of tremendous help yet I'm still encountering problems:

In my opinion, the problem is in code terminology. My guess is that some of the old 1.5 terms/code have been deprecated and are no longer used. My suspicion was confirmed when a few of these problems vanished after replacing "$mainframe" with "$app" in all the template files. Nonetheless, problems persist and I feel it's because of deprecated terms/code.
My first question is if there's a library somewhere out there with a list of 1.5 terms/codes and the new 2.5 terms/codes beside it. That would probably be the easiest solution since I can just upgrade the terminology.
Otherwise, is there a way some of you could assist me in upgrading this template? I really like this simplistic template and haven't found a decent 2.5 counterpart.
