New menus don't show up on "menus Item" tab

have just loaded 2.5 on my site.
I can create new menus but they won't show up on the "Menu Item" tab so I can't publish them so they show on the Site.

Can you please attach an image or two to explain your situation?

Are you seeing the tab titled "Menus" just like the tab titled "Menu Items"?

Thanks for getting back to me!
the first image shows Menu Manager: Menus and you can see I've created 4 menus. only one (Foodenanny - the main menu) shows as published. I have linked
the modules to the menus and they show as published.
how ever when I go to the Menu Manager: Menu Items tab they don't show and don't show on the site either.
Any ideas?

In the screen "Menu Manager: Menu Items", only the menu items that belong to the Menu that has been selected from the dropdown would show. As per the image attached, there is only one menu item titled "FOODENANNY" defined for the menu "FOODENANNY" and this menu item seems to be the default menu item that dictates the landing page of your site.

In the screen "Menu Manager: Menus", I observe that the all the menus are published using the menu modules. However, all of the menu modules are published to the module position "top".

What template are you using? Does the template has a module position "top". You could change the module position in the Module Manager.

Is it possible for you to publish the menu modules to a different module position and see whether they show up.

What is your site's URL so that we can see what is happening?

Foodenanny.com
The template is from joomlashack and is called Alasse (I actually payed money for this one so I hope it works well!)I have tried several positions in both this template and beez5. I chose "top" because I could see the "Foodenanny" menu showed up. I thought if that one showed the other ones should too.

I finly got it!
I didn't realize I had to create a "menu Item" as well as a menu.
