Modules won't disable using default themes.

I'm trying to disable modules such as search and the log in form but nothing will disable. I just did a brand new install with GoDaddy.

What exactly do you mean by "disable?"

Do you mean you go to the module manager and disable the module, but it won't stop showing?

Are you going to the module and indicating it show display = NONE.

Have you tried assigning the module to a module position that doesn't exist?

Please provide more details.

All I am doing is selecting disable in the module manager. Some will disable but some won't. For instance Breadcrumbs won't. I will try what you said.
