@chris-huskys , @A1ex037 @KoFShinobi: I just spent 4 hours trying to understand and I think I did. Check your images paths... If you have relative paths, it will work on the homepage but on any other page it will be wrong... you need to put absolute paths... And in general, I came to believe that whenever the slideshow is loading on empty, you made a mistake somehow in the paths for the pictures

Good luck

Hello

I have the same problem as some other users in this discusion.

I installed the latest version of mod_funsupersized_dev-1.1.6.zip. Then I wrote the path for the images: images/hintergrundbilder/startseite/ ,then I enabled "load jQuery?" (without that nothing happend - as you can see on the attached image file). But still no image is showing up. I only thing I can see is the progress.gif image?!?

What can I do to get the module working ? It sholud only work on the menu "Nachhaltigkeit" the other menus use a different module for the background image!

Here is my website:http://m3.notebookmobil.ch/de/

Best regards

Andy

I am still waiting for a solution. Can anybody help?

Edit: I had to remove a jQuery conflict. After this, it works like it should. Thanks to Nguyen Lu from all4coding!

Hi
How do I make the Title of each slide appear like it does in your demo (Slide background 1, 2,3 etc)? And where do you input the title? I think it is done in Joomla admin for the module.

The first parameter is:
Slide Path/Slide List ( )

I dont understand how to create a slide list. Could tell me how this is done.

Many thanks
J

Hi,

you're right, it works now! So..I cannot use SWmenuFree?
There is, maybe, an alternative?

Thanks.

Create a slide list like the sample.txt.
You can download this file at here http://www.all4coding.com/joomla/joomla ... sized.html

There is a sample.txt in here http://www.all4coding.com/joomla/joomla ... sized.html
You just need to create a slide list file like this sample file. and it will work.

<< SOLUTION >>

I've come here because I couldn't see the images of the slideshow. The module worked great, the navigation and loading bars showed and worked, but the actual image didn't show. I saw a number of others also having the same problem, but I didn't see a solution.

Yuan Chen did say it had to do with the background being imposed on the site through css in a div. That gave me the clue where to look. He suggested to have the template edited.

I'm using an Artisteer generated template, but I can imagine it works for others as well. Please note: it can only be used really if you plan on using only this module for the backgrounds. My solution was very simple: in the template.css file, I just deleted the background statement. Fortunately it was even the very first on top of the css file, so it was quite easy.

Did it through the Joomla administrator interface (template manager), so everybody can do it. Only make sure you know what you are doing and if in doubt, backup before ;)

Hope this helps out some people :)

Hello Yuan Chen,

I've succesfully installed your slideshow, and am very happy with it. I also want to add captions. I've got the sample.txt file, and think I can work with that.

But, how do I name the file (I think not 'sample.txt'?) and where do I put the file? On the server in the same directory as the images? Or in the directory of the module or any subdirectory? Or in media/mod_supersized somewhere?

Do I have to use absolute paths to the images (eg. 'http://......') or can I also use relative paths (eg. 'images/backgrounds')

Also, do I HAVE to put a link to the thumbnail image, and if yes, do I create them manually or can I just use the path to the original image? The way I see it, the module does not create thumbnails?

Sorry for all the questions, but I'ld like to get this right in one time :)

kind regards, Frank

Hi All,

It's a great extension! It took me a couple of hours to get it working properly. As the developer said to others, it turned out the problem was with conflicting jquery loads. I couldn't figure out which ones were conflicting but i did found a plugin that solved it:

http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions ... ipts/18327

Its a plugin that prevents conflicts. I only enabled jquery in the plugin parameters (first option), and published the plugin itself. Now i finally got it working and the result is amazing :). This plugin may help others who have the same problem. Thx Nguyen! Your answers in this threat helped me to look in the right direction for a solution!

Hi,
Great module - so far so good.
Can I create a caption for the image under the title? For example - "#slidecaption" in 'supersized.shutter.css' refers to "title" in the sample.txt. I want to add a smaller description under this title so SLIDE 1 is say 30px and my new small description is 14px. How can I add this?
Thanks

Hi Frank,

Did you get a reply on this? I'm having the same questions: how do I name the file and where do I put it?

Hello;

I have just downloaded the version 1.1.6. Installed with no issues. I have :
- Published the module
- Set the menu items selection to all
- Choosen the position to 'background' position
- loaded jquery
- set the directory of images to : images/bg
Whatever combination i tried with those options, nothing at all is shown in the frontend!
I believe that it is a template compatibility problem, for that i want to said that my template is this one. Click this link for demo.

So you can test it yourself and you will figure that nothing appear at all. I request help to modify the template css to give the ability for this module to show and work normally.

Thank you
