Message Board

Hi,
I want to know if there is any component available for J 2.5 that can be used for the following,
- there will be a message board kind of space provided for registered users and they will be able to post any messages, links, or even comments withing a specified character limit (say 200). Now please note that like facebook wall it has a space for posting comments and links and the likes for all the regd. users, however, unlike facebook wall not every user will get one of their own; it will be a centralized system to post messages and for a quick overview of the happening in the site for the guests and users.
I get content creation units like articles, blogs or question & answers space but not something of this kind for the users.
