extension for download

I'm looking for some extensions for download files but it makes the download button not visible unless the user has permission by level.
I would like the visitors see the content but can't upload the files
Some advise?

Yes, I saw many different extensions but I would like to know one of somebody else has some experience with

There seems to be a lot of experience with most of those extensions.
See the amount of stars + votes + reviews + amount of people that favorited the extension...
