Akeeba Backup AJax error

Post by credodenny » Sun Jun 23, 2013 2:15 pm

Hello,
I just wanted to do a backup with Akeeba but it failed.

Backup Failed
The backup operation has been halted because an error was detected.
The last error message was:

AJAX Loading Error
HTTP Status: 500 (Internal Server Error)
Internal status: error
XHR ReadyState: 4
Raw server response:
Internal Server Error

So i unistalled Akeeba und re-installed but it still fails

Could someone help?

It may be quite obvious, but when the backup fails it asks you to check the troubleshooting page. This covers 90% of the issues that may occur during backup. Please do read and follow ALL of those instructions in the EAXCT ORDER they appear (this is VERY important). Do not skip any of those steps.

Only if that doesn't help, go to the Configuration page, find the Archiver Engine row, click on Configure and set the Part Size for Split Archives to 10Mb or, if this still doesn't work, to 5Mb or even 2Mb.

If this still doesn't help you'll need to upload your backup log file here so that I can take a look and tell you what the problem could be.

Thank you!!

I set the part Size to 10 MB and now it works.
Why it's now the failure, I had all the time 270 (and something) MB but now I need to put 10 ..

Okay but it works now and its fine.

If I want to restore the site with kickstart do I need to upload all the 27 Parts? and install it normaly ?

Regards

Yes, upload all 27 parts. Then just select only the .jpa file. Kickstart will actually not show you any of the other files, but it will automatically read all of them to extract the backup archive.

Hello support I have exactly the same error.

Tried every procedure I found related to this issue; no success.

Upload Akeeba Backup Debug Log to search for further advice.

Thanks.
