Traffic coming from a strange source

Post by neiljames54 » Tue Nov 04, 2014 8:09 pm

I am showing traffic coming from this url,

Code: Select all

http://buttons-for-website.com/.
When I investigate this website it has code to install buttons on websites, I certainly have not installed any of these, or am i completely misunderstanding the whole concept

So you're not using their javascript snippet anywhere on your website? Make sure there's no modules or plugins published using their site. However that would not explain why traffic is coming from their site to your site...

The site seems very simple and basic, not much going on there. But what's wrong if it is sending traffic your way? Helps your site.
I like working with Joomla :). I offer the following professional services: Custom extension development, SEO/marketing, maintenance/support, security and WCAG audits, and will work on websites at a reasonable rate.

I agree, I had the same problem. These snippets can create problems and bandwidth useage for nothing. Not to mention with Panda 3.0 it really does nothing for your SEO. Your CONTENT is most important.
