The following tip is what worked for me. Thank you for posting Berendra!



"1.Open your XAMPP control panel
2.Under MySQL click the admin tab, then you'll get a web page with some thing called PHPAdmin
3.On the right corner under MySQL check your user name and password
4.Use that user name and password for the installation (user name should be without @localhost)
5.If you dont see a password then leave the password blank"

Hope this helps...

1. Once you go to the PHPMyAdmin page
2.On the right corner under MySQL check your user name and password
3.Use that user name and password for the installation (user name should be without @localhost)
4.If you dont see a password then leave the password blank (or) if its on a domain then probably the password is hidden. If the username matches the username when you login into the cpanel of your website, you can try giving the same username and password (i.e. same as the cpanel credentials) for installing.
