Uploaded Joomla files to a new sub folder "joomla2.5"on FTP server. There is a folder called "root-back", I think this may have been the folder I should have uploaded too.
However the problem I have is the site address will now only load as http://www.domainname.com.au/joomla 2.5. Is there a way to make "joomla2.5"folder a subfolder of "root-back" perhaps with filezilla?? Or will i have to delete and reinstall under the folder "root-back" (I'm assuming 1, this is the problem and 2, "root-back" would be the correct folder). My FTP server is netregistry.
Any help appreciated? Thanks.

The virtual host your provider has set up for you has its document root, in Apache terms, and root-back seems to be the correct folder. Otherwise you would have one unnecessary folder level in the URL.

You may still want to keep the subfolder for testing and protect at least the administrator folder using a small .htaccess file with allow/deny statements so that only you can access it from a known IP address or subnet. Which is also useful to protect the administrator folder of the main site.
