Hello everybody!

I am running successfully other PHP/MySQL-Applications (phpBB) on my Server

MSWinServer2003
running
SunJavaSystemApplicationServer9.1 (an early Version of Glassfish)
latest QuercusServlet for PHP 5.3.2
MySQL 5.1.51

But now I am trying to install Joomla2.5.4 on my Server

but after decompressing and copying the Joomla-Package onto servers website-directory and browsing to mydomain/index.php I always get this Error:

C:\mydomain\libraries\loader.php:60: Fatal Error: 'DirectoryIterator' is an unknown class name.

Any idea whats going wrong ?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Joomla currently is only tested against Apache and IIS servers at the current time, and this is usually supplemented with the comment that it MAY work on other servers. As far as I am aware there is no support for Glassfish although someone may be able to assist you.

As I read from Caucho`s Quercus-Forum (http://forum.caucho.com/showthread.php? ... 97&t=28700)

the same error-message appears with tomcat-server.

Therefore the problem can`t be a very server-specific one.

The error-message sounds like a wrong setting for paths or namespaces .....

Well I guess the original "try reinstalling again" would be the place to start.
Do not use Windows own archive manager or FTP clients to unzip and move the files, suggest something like 7-Zip and WinSCP.
See how you go from there.

Edit:

Reference the following page from PHP where the directoryIterator is listed and http://php.net/manual/en/class.directoryiterator.php

It is - it would seem an extension or similar called SPL that is responsible for this. Make sure that this is enabled (check with phpinfo code or try using the Forum Post Assistant)
