I am having the same problem installing j2.5 on a Freebsd9 server that has been freshly run up. I should also note that my installation of phpMyAdmin is displaying a similar problem.

[Mod Note: You state you are "having the same problem", however, it would appear that you are not using a standard Joomla installation but one from RocketThemes using their launcher system. Therefore this topic has been split into a separate thread. You should raise the issue with the RocketThemes site.]
When you do this, you might like to inform them of the MySQL details as well as this information is not available to the FPA as the database is either protected or is missing entirely!
You would also be advised to inform them at which step of the installation it fails at.

This problem occurs when I try to deploy a vanilla J2.5 site as well.

Ok well that information would also have been useful earlier on.

What about the other details I said you should include to Rocket Themes - can you share these with us instead please?
