Updating internally and getting error

Post by bullfights » Mon Jun 06, 2011 6:16 am

Have tried three times already to upgrade to latest version, internally and have gotten same error:
Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in C:\inetpub\vhosts\XXXXX\j\libraries\joomla\filesystem\archive\zip.php on line 345
Is there someplace to change the time? I am going to attempt a manual install, likely to work but for future reference is the a way to change the execution time...

Thanks

Interesting... I just had another update from Gantry framework and attempted to update that also and it worked fine, and tried once again to update joomla but same result a before, hmm.

if your updating the core files from 1.6.2 to 1.6.3 all you need to do is ftp the patch files overwriting what is on server
