i uploaded a 1.5 version

when i uploaded 1.5 then configuration.p[hp was not created
so i made a config php file and edited linnks to temps and logs

but no extension was uploading

so i deleted 1.5 manually and tried to upload a 2.5

this time again i have to give a configuration.php file from my computer test server

the wesite is viewing and getting log in

but when i am trying to enter administrator login

i am getting following message

Fatal error: Call to a member function login() on a non-object in C:\inetpub\vhosts\drmosharraf.com\httpdocs\administrator\components\com_login\admin.login.php on line 64

I've got the same problem. How did you find the old files?

If you are doing a completely new installation just delete all the existing Joomla! files except the configuration.php and upload a new copy of the Joomla 2.5.4 files to the server, except for the installation directory. You should then be good to go.

If you already have content and extensions installed however, this may be more problematical

be sure to check administrator/components/com_login for the presence of admin.login.php. This is an old 1.5 file that you don't need but will kill you admin login.

Thanks to TFuller.
