I've got a site on CloudAccess. Joomla updater was telling me that I had the most up to date version of Joomla, but it wasn't true (I had 2.5.15). As a result, the site got hacked. CloudAccess fixed it for me which was nice, but then they told me the problem was that I didn't have auto updates on.
That doesn't sound right. I should still be able to go into the back end, and see that a new version is available and make it so.
I have another site with exactly the same problem (not hacked tho).
I went to Extensions/Database and purged the cache. Then I went to Updates and clicked on "Find Updates". I got these error messages:
