If user can create articles and can edit own articles, he can't see them because it's all unpublished! It horrible :/

So I have no idea why it's a "edit own" rule if user can't edit own article before aproving by administrator :/

ACL in Joomla! 1.6 is very bad :/ Can I change it in source code?

Hallo,

have a look an my thread you can find here:http://forum.joomla.org/viewtopic.php?f=624&t=619780

I observed the same, but if you search the forum you'll find out that it is a bug. In the Joomla documentation it is explicit named, that Editors are able to edit unpublished articles.

I think they will fix this soon.

And Joomla isn't as bad as you think. Remember: You don't have to pay for it!!!!!

I hope this will be fixed soon. I'm having the same issue with Joomla 1.6.3!

I found this bug in the bug tracker:
http://forge.joomla.org/gf/project/joom ... m_id=25606

But it doesn't seem to be fixed, nor assigned to anyone yet.

I hope there is a fix soon. I have a site that it to be maintained my several people, some are authors only, others are editors.

The Authors are complaining that the system is unusable as they want to be able to edit their articles during production until the article is ready for publishing.
