Menu Bar Login button auto change to Logout Button
I know I read this feature somewhere but can't find how to do it now. I have a user Login button on the Menu Bar that works fine, except I would like it to change to Logout once the user is Logged in. I know there's a little trick to the placement of the logout form on the menu bar that keeps it hidden when not logged in but then shows it once logged in. If anyone can assist me with this I thank you in advance.

The Idea is very simply you have two Items: Login and Logout.
but compared to other items that may assign to Public here we make a distinction: Login must be assign to Guests and Logout to Registered Users.
Now the Login Item is only visible if you are not logged in and the Logout Item only if you are.

Re: Menu Bar Login button auto change to Logout Button
Is there a way to replace the "Login" menu to "Logout" after the user is logged in? So I don't want both Login and Logout on the menu navigation. I only want one, either Login or Logout.

This is exactly what I described above.lnguyen6666 wrote:Is there a way to replace the "Login" menu to "Logout" after the user is logged in? So I don't want both Login and Logout on the menu navigation. I only want one, either Login or Logout.

Re: Menu Bar Login button auto change to Logout Button
I'm sorry, I can't get it to work.
When I set the Login menu access level Public, I see the Login on my menu.
But when I see the Login menu access level to Guest, I don't see it on my menu until I login using another a page.
My goal is to have everyone see the Login. But once they log in, they only see the Logout menu and the Login menu will disappear.
Hope I'm making sense. Your help is much appreciated.

I understand but there must be some option in you configuration that is wrong. Did you assign the Guest Group really as Guest? Check the users Configuration if the Guest Group is assign there as Guest Users Group.

Here is my configuration:
User Config:
Guest Access Levels = 'Guest' User Group
'Guest' User Group have a Group Parent of 'Public'
'Studen1t' User have User Groups assignment of 'Public', 'Guest', 'Registered'
Menu Config:
Login menu have Access = 'Guest'
Logout menu have Access = 'Registered'
I don't know where else to look. Thanks again.

You should not assign anyone to the Guest group, that’s the mistake!'Studen1t' User have User Groups assignment of 'Public', 'Guest', 'Registered'

Re: Menu Bar Login button auto change to Logout Button
To see the issue my test site is theubiety.com/linh.
You can login as student1 with password of student1
I changed the Menu config for the 'Logi'n menu to have 'Public' Access so you can login.
My goals is to have the Login menu accessible and once logged in, only see the Logout Menu.
Please explain what I may be missing. Very grateful for your help.
