Hi All,

Any advice with this issue would be greatly appreciated.

I am running Joomla 1.6.6 and am getting the following error when trying to install extensions.

JFolder::create: Could not create directory
Warning: Failed to move file!

I am trying to install DJ Image Slide Show. I have tried increasing the memory limit and have also changed (temporarily) all file and directory permissions to 777.

This hapens when trying to install the module and component.

Thanks to all who take the time to look at this issue for me.

UPDATE:

I have just tried to install something else and encountered the same problem, therefore ruling out the posibility of it being a problem with the specific extension.


UPDATE: SOLVED

Web host decided to move me to a new server without informing me. Needed to update the temp directory in global config to reflect this.

That' s correct
Edit configuration.php file
Update the temp and the log directory path
