Hi All

not sure what has happened but when I type in http://mysite.com/administrator if get nothing but a blank screen in my browser, I have tried with the administrator/index.php?option=com_login option and it is still blank, I have tried restoring (using copy rename paste) an old working version and still all I get is the blank page.
I have searched through many previous topics and get really confused with the answers.

Anyone with any ideas?

The website was just sitting on my webserver, I was able to login when required, I have placed a forum on the site and have seen alot of 'weird' users register, however there was nothing else that has happened since.

Dunno if this helps but the website is http://www.westerntrails .com.au if you want to look.

Just an update here:
I have since installed another site, this site works well and can login, however I am still getting blank pages on the original one.

Any ideas?

Malware detected at the URL listed. I would suggest that you have been hacked which accounts for the strange registrations.
You should taken the site offline until you can replace all the Joomla files and extensions with clean versions.
Follow the instructions here: viewtopic.php?f=621&t=582854 as a safe route to recovery.
You also seen to be running J1.5.14 which is outdated and has known security issues.

Blank Admin page can also be because of corrupted installation. Try replacing admin page related files. Hope it may work.

If the site was hacked as was reported in an earlier post, then the hack may have specifically be preventing you from the access. There may also be an issue with how the cleaning and repairs were made that is causing the access issue. There could be an .htaccess entry that is causing the issue.

Another possibility is that the administration directory has been renamed or an attempt to relocate it was performed, both of which will break the administration. The administration directory in Joomla can not be renamed or (in general) relocated.
