404 - Error:404

Hello all,
My well working joomla 2.5 website is now showing 404 - Component not found
The error page shows



You may not be able to visit this page because of:

an out-of-date bookmark/favourite
a search engine that has an out-of-date listing for this site
a mistyped address
you have no access to this page
The requested resource was not found.
An error has occurred while processing your request.

Please try one of the following pages:

Welcome to Joomla and to these forums.

When opening the home page there are no problems.

Well what Component/action is it that the error arises from.

The message would appear quite clear so have you deleted anything recently?

What were the last actions you were taking before the issue arose?

Has there been any unauthorised access to your site?

Do you have a backup of the site and database to fall back on?
