Admin Image Problems
This is a strange problem but I'll try to explain fully. Please bear with me.
I am involved in a website that was launched in December. I have Super User access and at the start was able to do everything without issue. Now when i go to upload images for use in articles only I can see them in Media Manager (the other admins can't). When i try to place the image in an article I can see it from the back end but when I publish the article the image is not there.
Conversely, other admins are adding images to the Media Manager but they don't show up for me when I log in. I have tried logging in using one of the other admins credentials but still the same, I can't see images they have uploaded. I have tried on my laptop, iPad and iPhone but still the same. I have created a new admin account and tried that but to no avail. I thought maybe it was the WiFi at my home so i switched off WiFi on my iPhone and logged in using 3G but still no joy.
Can somebody PLEASE help me with this issue as I have work I need to do on the site but am held back by this problem.
It is very strange as it has just happened all of a sudden.
I would appreciate any help with this. Many thanks.

Re: Admin Image Problems
This is strange ... I would need a first hand look to see what's happening. You wont be able to PM me yet so email me ? When I confirm you have emailed to me then send SUlogin. I can take a quick first hand look. Ask around I don't abuse login.

Hi Webdongle. Thanks for your reply. The thing is that when other people use my login details they can see everything perfectly. It's only when I try (on several devices) it doesn't work!

Without a first hand look then it is difficult to know where the problem is.

Got your email with login details and I have uploaded my Joomla user icon ... can you log in and see it from the media manager ?
Also you could install Akeeba to back up your site in case of mishaps.

Re: Admin Image Problems
Hi. Yes, I can see that image when I login but I've asked someone else to check and when he logs in it is not visible to him. Also, I have uploaded Joom Gallery and a folder of images that I can see but he cannot.
This is so weird!

That only means he can not see it ... it does not mean that it can not be seen with his user account. He may not be looking correctly.LOI19 wrote:Hi. Yes, I can see that image when I login but I've asked someone else to check and when he logs in it is not visible to him. ...
Same applies to his not seeing the Phocagallery or Joomgallery folders.
I notice there are (including myself) there are 4 users and all are SU ... but their ID numbers are high. Have you upgraded from 1.5 or have you deleted any users ?

Re: Admin Image Problems
Hi Webdongle.
Well, we have discovered where our problem lies. It seems that both of us have been uploading to the one database but logging in differently, i.e. the URL I gave you is where I have been uploading to while he has been uploading using a URL without the Joomla extension. I can now see the images he has upped and vice versa. This really was something quite simple but the important thing is we got sorted.
In terms of the Users, I had noticed the ID numbers myself. This is a brand new 2.5 installation so I don't understand that.
Thanks very much for your help. It really is very much appreciated and I would recommend anyone that has an offer of help from Webdongle to accept it.
