Where does a JAT3 plugin go?

Dear experts
I've bought two 2.5 templates - for better or worse - and they pose challenges.
Both demand with error messages - 'MISSING_JAT3_FRAMEWORK_PLUGIN'
I have downloaded what I believe to be this required part, but where does it go?
The advice says, 'Upload.'
But upload where, and put it in what folder of the template, please?

You don't need to put it anywhere. Just install it from the Joomla backend and activate it and you're all set. That plugin is needed by JoomlArt templates.

Thanks very much, itoctopus, particularly for the quickness of your reply. But ... I look at the template's collection on the server. There's nine folders - blocks, core, css, fonts, html, images, info, js, local - and 10 of the usual php etc files
Presumably the plugin is to be put in one of the folders?
Sorry to seem so lost here but ... I'm lost. I've not encountered any of this in joomla, and suddenly I have it with both of these templates.

You just need to install it through the backend - it'll take care of itself.

Thanks again, itoctopus, but seeking clarification: Does 'install it through the backend' mean just upload it into the template's folder on the server? (Very sorry if I sound dense here. But I don't think I have heard the expression - 'install it through the backend' - before. Many thanks.
