I upgraded to 2.5.6 as soon as it was out and the editor Tiny MCE worked on all articles I even created site no probs.
Browser was Firefox no issues up to and including Version 13. All sites could be edited.
History Firefox was upgraded to 14 and then I created a new site and found then I could not edit the article, all other buttons surrounding the editor box worked except, I could not close the article editor either.
Thinking it was addons in firefox, that may be the issue I went into the backend of another site I have using Google chrome, and low and behold the article could be edited no probs.
Went back to the new site and google chrome allowed me to edit it, so it has to be Firefox that has caused the issue rather than Joomla.
For your info
There is a security bug in Firefox 14 that is being adddressed see [no tiny url]/firefox296

Well i am using firefox 14 and not had any trouble so far apart from trying to update the favicon today which took about 10 hours to register. However, as far as i am aware firefox 14 is still a test version. Their is a feedback box in the top of the browser next to the search box give them some hell and get them to sort the problem. People where also having the same problem with (sorry can not think of the name) but a video player like windows media. Plus also had massive problems with flash player like normal in firefox. So bottom line firefox is still quite unstable and maybe best to move back to an earlier version for the time being.

@Jivefusion

Log in to your administrator area and do the following:
[1] Hold down the 'Shift' button on your keyboard and then
[2] Click the refresh button within FireFox

The most likely cause is your browser has cached the old JavaScript files and all you have to do is purge your browser cache to receive the latest JavaScript versions.

Once your browser has downloaded the latest JS files you should be able to edit, save, etc articles as you previously could.

Firefox issue.
Thanks for the tip on the shift and refresh it did work for a moment, I saw the text appear that was on, one of the articles, as fast as it appeared it then disappeared almost as quick. The editor window returned to a blank page again. Firefox version is now 15.

My Joomla is on a VM and when ever I lose the ability to edit and save articles it has been because I am out of space.
