Please update to the most recent Joomla version first, which is currently 2.5.3.

From which version did you upgrade to 2.5.1?
Could you check the parameter set in the back-end >
Content > Article Manager > Options (top right button) > "Articles" tab > "Show Navigation" = Yes ?

Hallo!
First: Thanks for an answer!
I made all updates from 1.7. to. 2.5. 1. etc. Now I have 2.5.3.
In the backend the setting "Show Navigation" is YES.
Before I am updating to. 2.5.. the navigation was here. I have nothing changed!!!
At a german site for joomla, there are many other people, who has the same problem.
Here the site:
http://www.joomlaportal.de/joomla-2-5-j ... zeigt.html

I inserted the following code in the following file:
templates - html - my template - com_content - article - default.php

Here I inserted the code:
if (!empty($this->item->pagination) AND $this->item->pagination && !$this->item->paginationposition && $this->item->paginationrelative)
{
echo $this->item->pagination;
}
The pagination is now coming, but above, not down! What can I do, that the navigation is down!
Thanks
Roland

Hallo!
I solved the problem with the missing pagenavigation.
The template, which I have bought from joomshaper.com, must also be updatet!
Then its OK!
