I have checked and rechecked. I purge the cache. Find updates. Click update, and get this...

-1 - An error has occurred.

Copy failed

return to control panel

I also had this problem with a plugin that needed to be updated, but I manually installed and it was then removed from the found updates.

At this time, I am unable to update Joomla. But the system is clearly suggesting that I should.

I have seen references to this problem for previous versions of Joomla but I am unable to find nor grasp any solutions in previous posts.

Any help would be greatly appreciated and I am sure that I am not alone.

AKEEBA ADMIN TOOLS component made the upgrade without any trouble. I am wondering if there is some conflict between the Akeeba component and the Joomla core component.

Either way, if you are not familiar with the Akeeba admin tools component, perhaps installing it will help you in this case. and the Joomla core component.
