Been trying to upgrade my old 1.7.2 installation using every means possible, but I get an error about not being able to find the xml file or the path is not available.
Any ideas, without having to start again, as I have the site set up now.

Thanks for that, but I have looked at that. No help as I do not see the Database tab any where.
This is the error I get:
JInstaller: :Install: Cannot find XML setup file
Update path does not exist
JInstaller: :Install: Cannot find XML setup file
Unable to detect manifest file
