I successfully transferred my database over to a fresh install of 2.5. I purchased a Yootheme for 2.5. For the front page I have modules working showing old content, Jomsocial modules loading, data looks good.

When I click on anything I get taken to basically a blank page with only the header and footer. No content. The links are the same as the previous 1.5 site.

There must be some simple explanation as to why this is happening. Here are a few clues:
1. If I default to stock 2.5 templates and paste the url to a new story, it gets displayed.
2. A default template with a url to JomSocial works.

So, what is the very simple thing I am doing wrong here? Are there extra steps with a 2.5 migration template that I have to do something to have an article display?

I have been looking at this stuff for 4 days and I am done. Can anyone help? I would GREATLY appreciate your time.

Thanks in advance.

Seems to be related to the main content area not getting assigned. Headers, menu and footers all work for anywhere I go. Content does not show up in any modules between header and footer. Strange.

Weird. I have not head of this before. Could you post the URL of your site so we can take a look?

For a quicky solution try, go to the database tab in the extension manager, and see if there are any errors. Even if not, click the "Fix" button anyway and see if that helps. May work, may not, but it's fast and worth a shot.

I came back to let you know that I found the 'problem'. It really made me feel like an amateur.

The YooTheme Revista theme apparently has a setting buried under a skinning profile in the theme section called System Output. You have to turn that on in order for the articles and such to show up on pages.

I'm sure it has a purpose ... but having that off by default wasted 4 days.

Thanks for feeding back in with the outcome.
If it is not properly documented that you indeed needed to do this could I suggest that you raise the issue with the developers as they may not realise the issue exists.
