Post by mathialoc » Thu Apr 19, 2012 2:57 am

How do I restore missing "Joomla is up-to-date" and "All Extensions are up-to-date" Icons?

Go to the Extension Manager, click on the tab Discover and click on the icon titled Discover. Check whether this process identifies these extensions.

What version does it show in Site system info ?

Does Extension manager >>> Update tab show any updates available ? Purge and check. Purge and Discover in the Discover tab. Also look in the Database Tab.

Extension manager >>> Install ... install the Joomla full Package like an extenstion. Then try the above again.

Is it an update or a fresh install ?

Also clear Browser cache.

This was an upgrade using JUpgrade. Everything else worked well...

Did you have Admin tools installed ? com_joomlaupdate is now included as of 2.5.4
If installing the full package like an extension doesn't fix things see https://www.akeebabackup.com/documentat ... pdate.html

The joomla version is an admin module ... you can add it in the extension manager (admin filter)

Have you tried installing the Joomla full package like an extension ?

I had same problem. Joomla Update missing from Components menu and missing from Control Panel Quick Icons. Used extension manager to install complete 2.5.6 update. Then I used Discover to find missing items. That added Joomla Update to menu but not to Quick Icons. Also, still missing mod_version. It is not visible in administrator modules. However, the folder and files are in /administrator/modules/mod_version

Any idea how to add it? I tried zipping the mod_version directory and installing via extension manager but no luck.

I had the problem of the missing com_joomlaupdate quickicons.

Went into Plugin manager, searched on "Quick" and found that the Quick Icon plugins were disabled. Enabled them, and voila! Problem solved.

Thanks - that worked for me.

I'm still missing the version number though (2.5.6 - after full re-install via extension manager).

When I tried earlier I hadn't selected the 'Administrator' tab. Thanks for the screengrab which made it all clear!

All OK now. Can't wait for the next 2.5.7 upgrade... !
